Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini – Moving Galaxy S2 to Galaxy S5 Mini Duos?

Hello everybody,
I now get an S5 Mini Duos and would like to know how best to hammer out the move from the Galaxy S2.
So what tools I use and if I thus all apps and settings and stuff like Whatsapp can move as best.
I have already gelsen of Samsung Kies and Samsung Smart Switch Mobile and various Backup + Restore tools, but does not know what I'll take the best and I especially must proceed step by step.
I would be glad if you can help me.
Best regards
Micha

Try using helium

I backed up my apps settings, etc. with the helium app on an Ext. SD Card. I backed up the complete Apps. at "small fuse" "only application data" weggemacht the checkmark before. So I have my apps in a few minutes after a new installation again I save drauf.Meine own files on the principle Ext. SD Card. That is, all pictures, music. etc. copy documents to which Ext. SD Card. The helium app also works without Root.Die contacts should also secure. in contacts >Export menu to Ext. SD Card. So you get a vcf file. This then then import the new device.

Thank you ... especially @Rocky for instructions. So I'll try and when it issues there, I'll get back.

Regarding WhatsApp: The S5 Mini Duos has indeed two SIMs. Can I then have virtually two separate WhatsApp accounts? Or is it just a number?

Hi Micah
I have an acquaintance 14 days ago helped her stuff to be transferred from S4 on their new S5. Easier than with Samsung Smart Switch (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.android.easyMover) as it gets!
All contacts, photos, videos, text messages, e-mail accounts were transferred 1: 1st With WhatsApp they just had to re-sign and all chat history were completely there. but I suppose that was stored on the server in WhatsApp ;)
All apps were on the S5.

Many greetings
Thomas

Hello Thomas,
thanks for the hint ... the description in Samsung Smart Switch reads are so easy, but I'm always rather suspicious and rely rather on someone who has ever gained experience.
Then the best helium in my view is to use combined (for apps) and Samsung Smart Switch.

I also think that is stored on the server WhatsApp, but I do not need then for each number its own WhatsApp because I have two SIMs inside. Do I try just once.

Best regards
Micha

Um, the apps has transferred it, because I have no need to reinstall. Even, wallpaper, etc. All ringtones, has been transferred. but lasted just over 1 1/2 hours. And very important. Since both devices should be within the same wireless network and you do not tap every few seconds on the screen, or want to stare at the progress bar, either do not let the screen lock, or ensure that Wi-Fi will not go off on a locked screen.

Ahja, thank you ... good tip also with the display.
I will try next week and me - either way - again Report ;)
