When Archos Diamond Alpha Plus Archos has worked closely with Nubia - or otherwise seen each made life relatively easy. For the Archos Diamond Alpha Plus is in the heart of a Z17 mini Nubia with new lettering on the back. However, that does not change the qualities of the Android phones.

Price and Availability
The Archos Diamond Alpha Plus costs 399 euros. That's pretty much a Archos smartphone, given the facilities but the price seems quite reasonable. Sales in Germany is to begin this year, in October, the smartphone should be available.
Design and processing
The Diamond Alpha Plus is a real eye-catcher in the range of Archos. The unibody enclosure made of matt aluminum is just 7.45 millimeters thin and kept comfortable rounded at the edges. The transition into the 2.5D glass over the screen is as well done as the finely milled openings for the charger, the headset and the SIM card. On the back of the 155-gram Diamond Alpha Plus sits a circular Firngerabdrucksensor, the Dual Camera is surrounded by a fine red border. Below the screen of the Home button, which is marked with a red circle is seated. The processing of the smartphone that bears the Archos lettering, but also with "Designed by Nubia" advertises, is excellent. The Archos Diamond Alpha Plus is pretty to look at. / © AndroidPIT
With a screen size of 5.2 inch IPS display of the Archos Diamond Alpha Plus is one of these days almost to the smaller smartphones. The resolution is sufficient with full HD for the price range. The display is the first impression, although not quite to the upper class approach, but offers a balanced mix of beautiful colors and good brightness, while there is in the contrast and viewing angle stability still room for improvement. The display of the Diamond Alpha Plus has an IPS panel. / © AndroidPIT
Archos smartphones are sold usually with pure Android without manufacturers essay. This is not only a plus for purists and Android hobbyists, but also helpful for updates and other things. When Diamond Alpha Plus Archos takes a different approach, because the French have respect not only the hardware of Nubia, but also the software. The Nubia surface is not really user-friendly in all parts of the optics is also quite playful and does not conform with Google's material design.
Are the appearance and characteristics of the surface a little taste and perhaps not so bad with a little getting used to, that does not apply to the timeliness of the operating system. Archos still delivers the Diamond Alpha Plus with the two-year-old Android 6 marshmallow out. Even worse: There are no prospects that just an update to Android 7 nougat for the Archos Diamond Alpha Plus appear, not to mention Android 8 Oreo. This is not only a shame, but just do not understand. The operating system is too old and also gets probably no update. / © AndroidPIT
The Archos Diamond Alpha Plus is powered by a Qualcomm chip - that is alone when Archos already worth a mention, the French set but often Mediatek processors. The Snapdragon 653 has eight processor cores and a maximum clock frequency of 1.8 GHz. Strong: The Diamond Alpha Plus stuck whopping 6 GB of RAM, which should benefit the everyday performance. Those who like many stores data locally and helps in your pocket on your smartphone around, also can look forward to a whopping 128 GB of internal memory. If that is not enough, a microSD card can be used. So good facilities is a real rarity in this price range.
The camera features of the Archos Diamond Alpha Plus is impressive. The red-bordered dual camera on the back has two 13-Megepixel sensors, one of which is working and a colored monochrome. This should increase especially the richness of detail in the images. The Diamond Alpha Plus also offers the opportunity to record high-definition 4K videos. The front camera is also turned out pretty quality with 16 megapixels on the paper. The dual camera phones Archos has a monochrome sensor. / © AndroidPIT
The Archos Diamond Alpha Plus equipped with a fixed battery which has a capacity of 2950 mAh and is charged via USB-C. That should be enough to bring the phone quite easily throughout the day. A true endurance runner, the Nubia smartphone Archos but will probably not turn out well in the test.
The Archos Diamond Alpha Plus leaves a very pleasant impression. Design and workmanship are of a high standard, the performance is likely to loose enough for everything a smartphone can need. However, the drawback is the software of Nubia, on the one hand out of date, and secondly at least used to. Given the fact that even an update to Android 7 Nougat - that we remember, even a year old - is unlikely, the buyer should here urgently look for custom ROM alternatives.
